As part of the conditions for his bail, George Zimmerman is forbidden from possessing guns or ammunition.
Zimmerman was released on Tuesday, after his arraignment on aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief charges stemming from an alleged domestic abuse incident on Monday.
The 30-year-old must wear an ankle monitor, not travel outside of Florida and stay away from his girlfriend, who said Zimmerman choked her and pointed a gun at her in two separate instances.
After Zimmerman was found not guilty of any wrongdoing for killing Trayvon Martin in July, it looked as though he would get back the gun he used to end the teen’s life.
But then the Department of Justice ordered all the evidence in the case held while federal prosecutors looked into the possibility of charging Zimmerman with civil rights violations.
In August, ABC News reported that Zimmerman toured the Kel-Tec gun plant.
Kel-Tec makes the 9mm pistol that Zimmerman used to shoot Martin.
