Brad Pitt In Talks For ‘World War Z’ Sequel

Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” wound up being his biggest film ever. The zombie thriller grossed $536 million around the globe, putting it ahead of Pitt’s “Troy” on his personal list of lucrative blockbusters. (Caveat here that “World War Z” was released in 3D.) “World War Z” was originally conceived as a trilogy, but Paramount moved away from those plans after numerous changes were made to the first film’s ending. The studio reignited sequel talk in June, when THR reported that Paramount was moving ahead with “World War Z 2.”

“We’re certainly talking about it,” Pitt told Variety in a new video interview. “We have so many ideas on the table from the time we spent developing this thing and figuring out how the zombie worlds work. […] We’re going to do our best and see what we get out of it. We’ve got to get the script right first to determine if we go further.”
